Elyse Linson, MD, brings a wealth of experience to the team at Hampshire Gastroenterology Associates, LLC. She provides comprehensive gastroenterology and hepatology services to patients throughout Florence, Massachusetts.
Dr. Linson is excited to return to Western Massachusetts, where she was born and raised. She grew up in Longmeadow, MA, and then spent some time abroad in Israel working as an EMT. Following her time abroad, she attended Emory University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology.
Following undergrad, Dr. Linson received dual master's degrees (both a Master of Science and a Master of Public Health) at Boston University. She then attended Georgetown Medical School, where she was president of the American Medical Association. She went on to complete her internal medicine internship and residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.
During her residency, Dr. Linson won awards and accolades for teaching and first-authored numerous publications on both inflammatory bowel disease and functional disorders of the gut. She stayed on at Northwestern for her fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology before she decided to move back home with her husband, two young girls, and rescue pup.
Dr. Linson treats all kinds of Gastroenterology and Hepatology related issues. She believes that listening to each patient's individual story is the key to helping them with their ailments. She is thrilled to join Hampshire GI in serving Western Massachusetts.
